Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am in Hungarian
Minimum number of participants: 8. – Pre-registration is required!

Meeting point – route:
The walk will start from the corner of the Cathedral Library (corner of Péter Pázmány and Liszt Ferenc streets).
Water Town: the only intact water castle system of the Hungarian Danube section: Hévizi fortress / Mattyasovszky – bastion (place of Bálint Balassa’s wounding) – Rév gate bastion – Erzsébet park (with the queen’s statue), Primate’s palace – Sobieski monument – medieval city walls – Uzicseli Hadji Ibrahim Mosque (the westernmost medieval mosque in Europe, with the original plaque of Sultan Suleiman II) – Mill bastion (history of the 15th century Renaissance water machine).
Castle Hill: seat of Hungarian kings and archbishops. Short history of the Royal Castle, St. Stephen the Martyr Church memorial, Millennium Monument on the Danube rondella. Visit to the Esztergom Cathedral (liturgical space only).
Duration of the walk: 2,5 – 3 hours.
Participation fee:
- 3 000 HUF / person for guiding in Hungarian (free for children under 6 years).
- The fee includes the group entrance fee to the Cathedral.
